Our commitment
Unravel is committed to making unravel.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We believe the web works best when it works for all of it, and since website accessibility is a service we sell, we hold our own site to the standard we'd hold a client's.
The standard we work to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard referenced by regulators, courts, and procurement teams worldwide.
What we've built in
- Color and contrast chosen against WCAG ratios, site-wide, by design tokens rather than by accident
- Semantic HTML structure: landmarks, heading order, and lists that read correctly in assistive technology
- Full keyboard support with visible focus indicators, and no keyboard traps
- Decorative graphics hidden from screen readers; meaningful controls labeled with ARIA where needed
- Live regions that announce interactive updates, such as our demos and calculators
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences: animations pause or simplify when your system asks them to
- Layouts tested at mobile sizes and high zoom levels
No overlays
We don't use accessibility overlay widgets on this site, for the same reasons we don't sell them: they mask problems rather than fix them. Accessibility here is built into the code itself.
Known limitations
Accessibility is a state, not an event, and we treat this site as a living project. We review new pages and features against WCAG before and after launch, and we re-audit periodically. If something slipped through, we want to know.
